Today we're making something official that has quietly been in motion for a while: we're changing our name from PixelVerseIT to PixelVerse Digital. It's a small shift in words, but it means a lot to us - and we want to take a moment to share the story behind it.
Where It All Began
The company was born in 2023, originally under the name Pixelmon Technology. At the time, it was a scrappy one-person operation with a simple goal: help small businesses in Adelaide get online and stay online. The focus was almost entirely on infrastructure, hosting, and basic web builds - the classic "IT" stuff.
We chose "Pixelmon" as a nod to the visual, pixel-craft nature of what we were building. It was playful, but we quickly outgrew it - both in scope and in the markets we wanted to serve.
The PixelVerseIT Era
As the business matured and the work expanded into web design, e-commerce, AI integrations, and digital strategy, we rebranded to PixelVerseIT. The "IT" ending felt right for a while - it grounded us in tech credibility and helped communicate that we were a serious digital provider.
Under that name, we built some of our most meaningful work: launching platforms for small businesses, working with startups on their first digital presence, and eventually landing partnership work with artists and creators reaching global audiences.

Why "Digital" Instead of "IT"?
Honestly, the word "IT" started to feel limiting. When clients heard it, they often thought helpdesk support, cables, and server rooms. That was never really us - and it definitely isn't us now.
Broader & More Honest
Digital encompasses design, strategy, brand, content, development, and automation. It signals that we are a creative and technical partner - not just a tech vendor.
Same People, Sharper Name
We are still exactly the same people doing exactly the same great work. We just have a name that better matches what that work actually is.

What Changes
The name and visual identity are getting a refresh. Our website, social profiles, and brand materials will progressively update to reflect PixelVerse Digital. Some of that is already live - you're reading this on the new site.
Over the coming weeks you'll see updated handles, documentation, and assets roll out. We'll keep it clean and minimal, consistent with how we work.
